The Story
The centipede symbol is a recurring motif in this collection because it was one that resonated with me the most. It was a traditional tattoo motif reserved only for the fiercest of warriors who had proved their courage and valor in battle. And it was also a symbol of the continuity of life, each of its many legs and segments representing the ancestors.

The Dakila Earrings feature our interpretation of the centipede motif – the repeating chevron lines – as a reminder to embrace our ancient heritage.
Details
Materials: Paua abalone and mother-of-pearl inlay, 24 kt gold-plated brass, stainless steel posts and backs. Stainless steel makes these safe for sensitive ears.
Measurements: Earrings drop about 4.7 cm and weigh a very light 5 g each.
